Poem for "The Pedestrian"

I wrote this poem by standing on the protagonist position, and this poem basically talks about what he thinks when he was walking alone in the streets.

Loneliness in the shadow written by Leonard Mead (Actually Tim Liu)

In a misty and mysterious night,

The deep cloud gloss over the luminous moon.

Mirthless winds blow brutally over the hills,

The beard of Earth quivers, shrinks into the boundless dark.

The city mires into dreadful silence,

Only bleak lights shines through the windows.

People scrunch their bodies on the sofa,

Watching the endless ignorant televisions.

However, I am different from them

Because I walk on the quiescent street alone,

Trying to observe the most subtle things around me.

No cars, no pedestrians, not even a dog,

It is just me, saunter in the tranquil street.

You might say that I am a crazy man,

Who abnegate the comfort of the TV,

But tell you the truth,

I am not an insane man as you think!

I am very conscious.

Instead of absorbing brainwashing contents from TV,

I decide to ramble in the shadow,

Trying to search the answer for a bright future,

When people can break the chains of high-technology,

Leave their houses, wander on the streets,

To enjoy this beautiful and mystic evening.
